“The service we got by the hotel manager Holly was great! She gave us a little run down of the history of the hotel which was nice to know. My partner and I were staying there for our anniversary and when Holly asked why we were staying she instantly gave us a room upgrade to the George Power room which was very unexpected. The room was fantastic and so big! It had a comfy lounge set, really nice little dining table with a kitchenette. Usually you would expect a 'mini bar' to be pricey but this one was very reasonable. Fresh fruit at no charge was available which was really nice too. The ensuite was nice and clean. In the next room had the queen bed which was so comfortable. The window in the bedroom was the size of the wall almost and slid up to allow a great panoramic view and the feeling of the freshness of outside into the room. It had such a great atmosphere and the room was decorated and styled really well. We had views of the harbour bridge and a bit of the new Barangaroo Park which is great if you want to have a nice relaxing walk by the water! We had a drink at the bar downstairs which had a good vibe, an old fashioned pub feel to it. Great location, easy to walk down to Walsh Bay/The Rocks which is about a 5-10 min walk. It would be a longer walk to Darling Harbour. Great hotel if you want a relaxing night/weekend get away. Staying there felt like I was in the city with everything at my finger tips without feeling like I was in the hustle and bustle of it all. I could be if I wanted to be or I could just relax around Millers Point soak up the scenery (which is what we did). Great experience and would stay there again!”

“Good breakfast with many items, 24 h. tea, coffee and milk. Plenty of space in my 4-bed dorm (even in 2 rooms), comfortable beds with linen to cover myself (blanket not needed in summer), hot shower with lockable door. Nice and attentive staff, reception hours are untill 6 p.m. (not till 8 p.m. as on booking.com) but no problem with my arrival at 7 p.m. I notised my arrival ahead and I called when I was there and waited 10 minutes. I paid for 8-bed dorm but I was given for the same price 4-bed dorm where I was alone.”
